The Wine Service course is designed for anyone beginning their long journey to becoming a sommelier. If you are new to working in restaurants, want to progress your career further or just want to understand more of the skills it takes to be a world class sommelier, this is a great place to start.


You will learn about preparation, storing and serving different styles of wine, decanting, basic cellar management and service etiquette along with guidance on how to make an impression to improve your guest experience.   ​

Courses run regularly and are delivered in different formats:

  • 1 half day per week over 13 weeks

  • 2 full days per week over 8 weeks 

  • 5 day intensive 

Prices per candidate are 6500 ZAR or £400 GBP 

Wine Geeks require a minimum of 8 candidates for each course

If we come to you, additional costs may be added depending on location 

Entry requirements for candidates are the successful completion of the Introduction to Wine course.
